8 am Sunday Morning Worship

Tradition, Tradition! Our 8 am service is dignified and traditional.  It is also warm and friendly.  Coffee Hour follows the service on the patio in front of the church (see the picture in the upper left of this screen and imagine people.)

This service is a Rite 1 Eucharist with three hymns and communion music led by our director of music and 1-2 cantors.  "Rite 1" is Episcopalian Code for "Old Language" as in thee and thy.  Actually it means more than this, but basically if you like Shakespeare and 19th Century Hymns played on an Organ you will like this service.

Attendance ranges between 30 and 60 a Sunday, and the Coffee Hour following is not to be missed if you like good coffee.  Most of the people who come to this service are a bit older than the people who attend the 10 am service.  We do note, however that on a recent Sunday there were more infants at our 8 am service than at 10.  We don't currently offer a nursery during this service, but may do so if this trend continues.
