Episcopal Engaged Encounter

Engaged Encounter (EE) is a Friday-evening-to-Saturday-evening retreat experience designed as a discernment tool for couples considering engagement and to provide an atmosphere where engaged or newly-married couples can communicate intimately with one another to deepen and enrich the beginning of their marriage relationship. It is designed to give couples considering or planning marriage the opportunity to talk honestly and extensively about their future life together.  It is open to any couple serious about making and keeping a great marriage, regardless of age, faith, or whether it is a first marriage.

Throughout the weekend each couple shares in private their strengths and weaknesses, values, desires, goals, and their future role in church and society as a married couple. Engaged Encounter experience offers you the insights, tools, and confidence to enrich your relationship and to strengthen your love for each other. Couples learn that great marriages don't just happen, but must be developed.
