It really is amazing that God places so much trust in the church.  God who loves the world so much that Jesus was born and died on the cross for it gives his continuing mission into the hands of people who have trouble organizing their own lives let alone carrying it forward.  We think God likes to show off. 

Throughout the Bible we read stories of God using ordinary people to accomplish amazing things so that no one could possibly take the credit that belonged to God.  God will not be upstaged.  And so it is with us.
