About a Vacation Bible School Morning

The curriculum for Vacation Bible School this year is based on the traditional Americana hymn, "Lord of the Dance". Wiley will be teaching this song to the kids as well as leading them in a number of other Bible songs before the Bible story, which will be based on the that day's verse of "Lord of the Dnce"; "Lord of the Dnce" has 5 verses!

Vacation Bible School this year will be held outside on our lawn and patio. The first 30 minutes, from 9:30–10 a.m., will be our group time with Wiley for singing and the Bible story.

After Wiley finishes, children will go with their age-appropriate group to one of three centers: a craft center, a Bible workshop center, or the Recreation center. After 25 minutes at a center, groups will rotate and go to a different center.

The Bible stories for the week are:

Monday – Creation and the Christmas Story (Gn 1 and Lk 2)
Tuesday – Jesus calls Andrew, Peter, James and John
(Lk 5:1-11 and Jn 1:35-42)
Wednesday – Jesus heals on the Sabbath (Lk 6:1-10) and
Niccodemus visits Jesus at night (Jn 3)
Thursday – Crucifixion (Mt 26 and 27)
Friday – Resurrection (Mk 16:1-8 and Jn 21)
